What is the Eligibility Criteria of IAS Exam?
I am a graduate who have scored 59% in graduation. My age is 25 years and i am general category student. What's the eligibility criteria for IAS exam. Am i eligible to apply for IAS exam?

As cited above that you have scored 59% in Graduation and your present age is 25 years and you want to know the eligibility criteria requires for applying to the IAS exam then for your information.
IAS is nothing but a Civil Service post, the recruitment for which is done by UPSC i.e. Union Public Service Commission which is a recruiting authority to recruit candidates for the civil service posts in Government of India.
The minimum eligibility criteria requires for applying to the IAS exam is as follows :-
a. Must be a Citizen of India
b. Age should be in between 21 to 27 years for General Category, 21-30 years for OBC and 21 to 32 years for SC/ST and Ex-servicemen candidates.
c. The minimum educational qualification requires for applying to the Civil Service exam is Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university which comes under UGC.
The following are the number of attempts requires for the writing the entrance exam, they are :-
4 attempts for General Category candidates
7 attempts for OBC candidates
NO limit for SC/ST and Ex-servicemen candidates
The exam pattern comprises with the following steps :-
Preliminary Exam
Mains Exam
Interview
Preliminary Exam comprises with the Objective Type questions which Mains exam comprises with the descriptive type questions. Shortlisted candidates are eligible for the interview round and then the result will be declared based on the merit.
