What does Agriculture officer do is banks?

The work of Agricultural officer is to process the loan proposal pertaining to the Agricultural and allied agricultural activities and recommend sanction thereof. This work includes customer acquisition, prospecting, pre loan sanction, inspection to the agricultural site, verification of revenue reords, loan recovery, disbursement and sanction etc.

Apart from that the agriculture officer has to promote various schemes of Central / State Government like Rozgar Yojna, Swayrozgar yojna etc. in agriculture lending in particular and rural lending in general.

How many banks recruit Agriculture officers in their banks and what is the eligibility criteria and salary etc.

For applying to the Agricultural Officer post in Banking sector, the minimum eligibility criteria requires is as follows :-

1. Must be a citizen of India 
2. Age should be in between 21 to 28 years
3. Must have completed Graduation with 50% in Agriculture/ Horticulture/Animal Husbandry/ Fishery Science/Pisciculture/ Veterinary Science/Dairy Science/Agriculture Engineering/Agriculture Marketing and Co-operation from a recognized University which comes under UGC.

The Salary structure provided by the Banking sector authorities for the Agricultural officer post is comes with a pay scale of 10000-470/6-12820- 500/3-14320-560/7-18240

NOTE :- Relaxation in terms of age is applicable for the Backward category candidates like SC/ST/OBC and a relaxation in terms of percentage i.e. 45% is applicable for backward category candidates.
