Can I apply for IFS examination after completing BBA?

 I am a BBA graduate and want to apply for IFS examination. Therefore, please be kind enough to tell me that am I eligible to appear for IFS examination.Thank you.

Dear Aspirant,

As cited above, that you have completed Graduation in Business Administration and you want to apply for the IFS i.e. Indian Forest Service post and want to know the eligibility criteria then for your information.

IFS is nothing but Indian Forest Service which is a Civil service post the recruitment for which is done by UPSC i.e. Union Public Service Commission which is a recruitment authority which recruit the candidates for the civil service posts in Government of India.

The eligibility criteria followed by the UPSC for the IFS post is as follows :-

a. The candidate must be a Citizen of India
b. The age of the applicant should be in between 21 to 27 years.
c. The minimum educational qualification requires for applying to the IFS exam is Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university which comes under UGC.

Relaxation in terms of age is applicable as per Category :-

Three years to OBC
Five years to SC/ST
Ten years to Ex-servicemen 

The number of attempt for writing IFS exam is also applicable as per category, they are as follows :-

4 attempts for General Category candidates
7 attempts for OBC candidates
NO limit for SC/ST and Ex-servicemen candidates

The exam pattern followed by the UPSC for the IFS exam is as follows :-

Preliminary Exam :- Comprises with the Objective type questions
Mains Exam :- Comprises with the Descriptive type questions
Interview 

The result after shortlisting candidates after interview will given a 9 months training after which a posting will be done on a probationary period of two years.
