As cited above that you have complete Graduation in Commerce with Accountancy stream and want to appear for the high level post in Banking sector but you are confused about the exam pattern then for your information :

IBPS is nothing but Indian Banking Personnel Selection which is an authority which recruits candidates for filling up of posts in 19 Public sector banks including Regional Rural Banks.

There are two popular exams conducted by the IBPS every year they are as follows :-

Probationary Officer
Clerical Assistant

Probationary officer is one of the popular post in Banking sector for applying to the Probationary Officer post in IBPS one should possess a minimum of Graduation as essential qualification with a minimum of 60% aggregate from a recognized university which comes under UGC.

For applying to the Clerical Assistant post one should posses a minimum of SSLC with 60% or Intermediate qualification with 55% or just pass percentage in Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university which comes under UGC is essential.

Apart from Educational qualification citizenship and Age limit of 18-27 years is also essential. However relaxation in terms of age i.e. 3 years to OBC. 5 years to SC/ST and 8 years to Ex-servicemen is applicable.

The syllabus pattern followed by the IBPS For the common written exam is as follows :-

General Awareness
General English
Numerical Aptitude
Logical Reasoning
Marketing Aptitude

Descriptive Paper additional topic for the Probationary officer post.

Each topic listed above contains 40 questions of one mark each and there would be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer is applicable.
