Possibility to study B.Tech for a candidate who has completed Diploma 5 years ago?

Sir, I have done my Diploma in Mechanical Engineering 5 years ago. After that I went to Dubai for earning. Now, I comeback and want to continue my study. I want to do B.Tech. I have 3 years of worked experience. Please tell me can I do B.Tech now?

Dear Aspirant,

As cited above that you have completed Diploma in Mechanical Engineering 5 years ago and have gained 3 years of Gulf experience but now you want to continue your studies and want to know whether you are eligible for doing B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a gap of 5 years or not, then for your information.

Diploma is nothing but a Three year Technical course after your SSLC qualification after completion of your Diploma a candidate can apply for the Junior level posts in many of the Software companies.

B.Tech is nothing but Bachelor degree in Technology which is nothing but 4 years Technical course after Intermediate qualification or 3 years Graduation course after Diploma course in the stream which he wants to do B.Tech.

Mechanical Engineering is considered as one of the stream of engineering which is having a wide scope in many of the companies.

As cited above that you are having 3 years of Gulf Experience and want to do Graduation then I suggest you to continue for the job and take admission in B.Tech with Mechanical stream through Distance mode.

Because you have gained much experience and for promotion you are in need of B.Tech degree, many companies consider experience compare to educational qualification. You will be eligible for applying to the higher level post in your organization based on your Graduation in Engineering / Technology no doubt whether it is from Regular or Distance mode but UGC and AICTE approval is essential.

Before taking admission in any of the Distance university I suggest you to check the university whether it is approved by UGC and AICTE or not because if a university is not approved by both UGC and AICTE then you will be not eligible for applying to the posts in Govt. as well as Pvt. Sector.

UGC is nothing but University Grants commission which is a authority which grants permission to the University for the administration courses.

AICTE is nothing but All India Committee for Technical Education which is a authority which grants permission to the University for the Technical courses.

Hope this above information regarding opt for Graduation in Technology on base of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is most useful to you if not then please quote a reply to get a detailed answer from our end.

All the best.
