 plz tell me IAS exam details and eligibility details?
Dear Aspirant,

As cited above that you want to know the eligibility criteria of IAS exam then for your information IAS is nothing but Indian Administrative Service which is a Civil Service Post in Government of India and the recruitment for which is done by Union Public Service Commission which is an authority to recruit candidates for the Civil Service Post. The recruitment for the Civil Service posts are mostly done in the month of July / August.

The minimum eligibility criteria requires for the Civil Service Exam is as follows :-

a) Must be a Citizne of India
b) Age should be in between 21 to 28 years
c) Must pass Graduation in any discipline from a Recognized university which comes under UGC.

However relaxation in terms of age and no. of limit for appearing the exam is provided based on the Category.

The exam pattern followed by the UPSC for the Civil Service Post comprises in three stages they are :-

Preliminary Exam
Mains Exam
Interview

Preliminary exam is of objective type means here a candidate has to select the correct answer out of 4 multiple choice, basically this preliminary exam is conducted to shortlist the candidates for the Mains exams.


Mains Exam :- comprises with the Descriptive type here a candidate while filling up the application form has to choose the subject based on the subject the questions paper is designed and the applicant has to answer the questions in descriptive type.


Shortlisted candidates will further invited for the Interview round, in interview round the selection committee will check the knowledge, personality, behavior and based on that marks will be allotted.

And finally the result will declared and the selected candidates will further diverted for the training which is of 9 months. After that posting will be done.
