 I have completed my MCA and further I am very much interested in IAS/PCS but don’t have any idea regarding it. Therefore, kindly help me by giving me the relevant details about it. Kindly help me regarding this matter as soon as possible.Thank you.

As cited above that you have completed MCA and you are much more interested in becoming a IAS / PCS officer but you are not any idea regarding and you want to know the complete details then for your information :

IAS is nothing but Indian Administrative Service which is a Civil Service Post in Government of India and the recruitment for which is done by UPSC i.e. Union Public Service Commission which is an authority to recruit candidates for the Civil Service Post. 

The minimum eligibility criteria requires for applying to the IAS exam is as follows :-

a) Must be a Citizen of India
b) Age should be in between 21 to 28 years 
c) Must pass Graduation in any discipline from a Recognized university which comes under UGC.


Age :- Relaxation of 3 years to OBC / 5 years to SC/ST and 10 years to EX-service men is applicable.


The number of attempts prescribed by the UPSC for the IAS post is as follows :-
Four attempts to General Category
Seven attempts to OBC
No Limit for SC/ST and Ex-servicemen


The exam pattern followed by the UPSC for the IAS exam is as follows :-

Preliminary Exam – Comprises with the Objective Type questions
Mains Exam – Comprises with the Descriptive type questions
Interview


The recruitment for the IAS post is mostly done in the month of July/ August for more details on recruitment and eligibility criteria do visit UPSC official website i.e. www.upsc.gov.in
