As cited above that you have completed 10+2 with science stream and have secured 56% aggregate and you have 61.60% in SSLC now you are pursuing BSC in Computer science stream and want to become a collector and want to know how to become a collector then for your information :

Collector popularly known as District collection is a Civil Service post also known as IAS Officer i..e Indian Ambassador service which is a Civil Service post in Central Govt. department.

The recruitment for the IAS post in Central Govt. department is done by UPSC i.e Union Public Service Commission which is an authority which recruits the candidates for the Civil Service posts in Central Govt. department.

The minimum eligibility criteria requires for applying to the District Collector post is as follows :-

  1. Must be a Citizen of India
  2. Age should be in between 21-27 years
  3. Must possess a minimum of graduation in any discipline from a recognized university which comes under UGC as a essential qualification.



Relaxation in terms of age is applicable as per Category i.e. 3 years to OBC, 5 years to SC/ST is applicable.


The written exam comprises with the following :


Preliminary exam
Mains exam
Interview

No. of attempt for the competitive exam is as follows :


Four attempt to General Category
Seven attempt to OBC category
No limit for SC/ST category
