As cited above that you are pursuing in 8th Standard and want to become an IAS officer but you wont know the eligibility criteria and want to know how to become an IAS Officer then for your information :
IAS is nothing but Indian Ambassador Service which is considered as one of the top most post in Civil Service Examination. The recruitment for the post of IAS officer is done by UPSC.
UPSC is nothing but Union Public Service Commission which is an authority which recruits candidates for filling up of Civil Service Posts in Central Government Department.

The recruitment for filling up of Civil Service Posts in Central Government is done by UPSC every year in the month of July / August.

For applying to the Civil Service Exam a candidate must be a Citizen of India and his age should be in between 21 – 27 years. However relaxation in terms of age is applicable i.e. 3 years to OBC, 5 years to SC/ST and 8 years to Ex-servicemen is applicable.

Apart from Citizenship and Age limit the minimum educational qualification requires is Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university which comes under UGC.

The exam pattern comprises with the following :

Preliminary exam – The question pattern followed for the competitive exam is of Objective type questions
Mains Exam – Question comprises with Descriptive type questions
Interview
Merit


Hence, from the above it is clear that you have to do Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university which comes under UGC to become an IAS Officer in Central Govt. department.
