What is the Physical Eligibility Criteria for IPS?
Is there any physical eligibility criteria for IPS? I want to clear UPSC exam and join as an IPS. Is there any difference in educational qualification as well?

As cited above that you want to clear UPSC and want to join as a IPS Officer and want to know the difference in educational qualification and Physical eligibility criteria for becoming an IPS Officer then for your information.
The recruitment for the IPS i.e Indian Police Service post is solely done by Union Public Service commission which is an authority to recruit the candidates for the Civil Service posts in Government of India.
The minimum eligibility criteria requires for applying to the IPS post is as follows :-
a. An applicant must be a Citizen of India
b. Age should be in between 21 to 27 years.
c. Must have possessed Graduation in any discipline from recognized university which comes under UGC.
Relaxation in terms of age followed by the UPSC for the Civil Service Posts are as follows :-
Three years for OBC
Five Years for SC/ST and Ex-servicemen
The physical fitness requires for applying to the SP or IPS exam is as follows :-
Chest : - 82cms
Height :-165cms
Weight :- Equivalent to height as per standard measures
Number of limit prescribed for appearing to the competitive exam is as follows :-
Four times for General Category
Seven time for OBC
No limit for SC/ST candidates
The exam pattern followed by the UPSC for the IPS post comprises with the Preliminary exam, mains exam and Interview.
