Minimum percentage required in B.A. to become an IPS Officer?

 Hello, I have completed B.A. I am interested to become IPS officer. But i don't know the procedure, please guide me. How much percentage requires in graduation for IPS officer? Please guide me I need this job.

Dear Aspirant,

As cited above, that you have completed Bachelor degree in Arts and want to become an IPS officer but you wont know the procedure and want to know the minimum eligibility criteria requires for becoming an IPS Officer then for your information.

IPS is nothing but Indian Police Service which is a Civil Service exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission which is an authority to recruit the candidates for the Civil Service Posts in Central Government Department.

UPSC recruits the candidates for the Civil Service post every year in the month of July. 

The minimum eligibility criteria requires for applying to the post is as follows :-

Must be a Citizen of India

Age should be in between 21 – 25 years (Relaxation as per Category i.e. 3 year to OBC and 5 years to SC/ST and Ex-servicemen is applicable)

Must pass Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university which comes under UGC.

As cited above that you want to become an IPS officer then minimum physical requirement also you have pass. 

The minimum physical fitness is listed below :-

Chest – 84cms
Height – 165cms
Weight – Equivalent to Height as per Standard measures.

The exam conducted by the UPSC for the Civil Service posts in three stages they are :-

Preliminary Exam – Comprises with the Objective type questions
Mains Exam – Comprises with the Descriptive type questions based on specialization.
