
Role of Clerical Assistants in IBPS Bank
The demand for getting a job in Banking sector is increasing day by day. Every year thousands of the young graduates like to go with Banking sector jobs and that too in the Clerical Cadre. A clerical assistant is the first point of contact to the customers in bank either in Withdrawal counter or in Deposit Counter, first point employers in bank are of Clerical Cadre only.
Clerical Assistants are responsible for verifying cheques, accepting payments, withdrawals and other banking related services to their bank customers.
Clerical Assistants are also responsible for Back-office work like receipts collection, ledger maintenance, balance tally & other transactions must be keyed in the computer systems after office hours. Also they are responsible for taking up marketing financial products of their banks such as loans, deposits schemes to their visitors.
In short they are the heart of the bank because without them work will be get hampered that’s the reason why clerical assistants plays an important role in Banking sector.
